We see what we want to see. We often tell ourselves what to expect, and then we see that materialize. Unfortunately, we often lie to ourselves. As adults we do not get what we deserve, for the most part we get what we want, and if we tell ourselves we deserve less, that becomes what we want, and ultimately get. Love yourself first, then love outward, and see the beauty of the world. Love makes a shack a home, a simple life meaningful, it covers faults and motivates one to become better. You need love. It’s all you need. Find it and everything else will just show up.

I am blessed to have found a lens
that reveals the beauty in all I sense.

This lens is love, love of life,
the world, and off course myself!

Without love I am almost blind,
and have to rely solely on my mind.

My mind, unfortunately, is not particularly kind,
always overthinking issues that might be found.

This leaves me bound as uncertainty mound,
flooding my soul, leaving love drowned.

I end up feeling stuck, my life in a rut,
with me convinced that I am totally fucked.

I counter this lie when I don that lens,
and it fills my soul with this incredible sense:
Life is not fair, no it is not.
It is absolutely beautiful,
and so very short.

    1. We make it beautiful by striving to be better. Evolve! Grow! Change! Repeat! That’s life! Thank you Juan. We are also part of each other’s transformation!
