This one hits home. I know I am not perfect but when I observe others in life I often think things like, ‘Dude where did you learn to drive’, or ‘Go back to school’, or ‘Fucking idiot!’. I forget that I am other people’s other people, and by thinking this way I elevate myself and my abilities over those of others. Not to mention that they might be sending me the same vibes. I have to remind myself that we all are the center of our own world, and when our worlds intersect, it’s best to be generous and forgiving, because sooner or later we will need it ourselves.
We all have one major defect
which is seeing ourselves as perfect,
when we might only be average
in our daily life and suffrage.
Embracing our limits
takes patience and courage,
unlike those dimwits
that never manage
and only do themselves and others damage.
Sit back and broaden your sight,
then consider yourself like a stranger might.
Ignore all your stuff and gloss over wealth,
the only thing that matters is your mental health.
Reaching a level of satisfaction
with who you are and what you have;
this upon reflection
is as close as we will ever come
to that elusive condition
called perfection.
