What do we know about forever? Considering the brief time we are alive, what can we know about forever? It is some abstract idea of never ending time. We do feel it though. Sometimes we find someone, or our lives just feel perfect, and we feel we can continue forever with this person or in these ideal conditions. We cannot. Life changes, people change- this constant change makes life beautiful and worth living. So even if forever is a real thing, we cannot be forever unchanging. This is also why I think Heaven is bullshit, because it’s very definition is constant eternity. It will drive me insane. I prefer to enjoy slices of heaven while alive, knowing it will not last, increasing my enjoyment and appreciation of the person or thing or situation I have for just a short time, while hoping it lasts forever.
