We are what we eat. Yeah. But we become what we think. Think well of yourself, count your blessings, do not compare yourself to others. Their opinions of you is none of your business, and we should cut others some slack. Life is tough and there is no manual, we learn by messing up and breaking hearts and things. The best thing we can do is to be thoughtful in our actions and really take a good look at ourselves, and take measure of our contribution to make the world better. Or not, it is up to you, you will live on the island you create, alone or with lots of company, you choose.

Our feelings and actions and thoughts,
together with time weave tightly
to create an island of sorts,
on which we each live justly.

From this web of spun emotions
grows strange and new formations,
springing forth on land made fertile
by actions we considered worthwhile.

We need to develop the ability
to feel and think deliberately,
to create islands of stability
in the vast seas of possibility.

We are what we think,
we become what we feel,
and we live on the land
made from actions of our own hand!

Best to think well of yourself,
and have goodwill towards others,
they too are just fathers, sisters,
brothers and mothers,
franticly building their own little isles.

I know I’m guilty of comparing myself to others and always falling short😏. Great reminder to change that!
