We all have needs and wants. There is a difference though. There was a time that I needed a drink, now I just want one. Want trumps need. Need is automatic, we have no choice but to satisfy it. Want is a choice, we decide what is good and necessary and required. I need a lot of stuff still, but I want just a few important things. Love, friendship, peace, time and living deliberately. I need more want!

I want

I want more love than lust,
to be happy this is a must.

I want to be less bald than bold,
especially now that I am old.

I want more time than money,
to be able to see more countries 
that are sunny.

I want more hope than having to cope,
to avoid failing at the end of a rope.

I want us all to be so bold,
and demand peace and tolerance in this world.

I want more good news than bad news please!
I must have this for my soul to be at ease.
